Ok this is how I get free Sky TV, which includes 400 on demand movies. Best of all, it's legal!
Now if you have Sky at home you are paying for it and this is just a free service you get, but if it's your parent's account then its free!
Go to Sky.com and sign up for Sky Player, enter you or your parents account details, enter your email and create a username, then bam you got free Sky! Don't switch computers as you can only do it once a month.
Yes it was that simple.
Just stay away from the box office movies or your parents will be pissed!

Gadget: SkullCandy Aviator
The Skullcandy Aviator is a headphone made in collaboration with Jay Z's RocNation. It's the best collaboration since Bert and Ernie! Even better than Ant and Dec! I know I'm being silly but you get my drift. Ok it took five whole weeks for these to arrive, but fuck me it was worth the wait! These are amazing! The look great, feel great and sound amazing!!! I bought the black pair and I love them! The cushions are made of memory foam which are so soft you can barely feel them! The black see through casing that shows the inner components, the chrome, the nylon cord! It even comes with a matching leatherette bag to keep it safe when your not using it. The design of the Aviators mean that they don't sit on your head, it only has contact with your area around you ears... and your hair depending on its length. It's all so good!As soon as they arrived I grabbed my now deceased iPod and searched for songs with loads of bass. As soon as the first song started played, all I could think was WOW!!! The sound was so clear and crisp! I have never heard music so clearly. Now I have new found love for music, where I listen to and appreciate every sound that happens in a song. Everybody who tried them on loved them. It caught so many peoples eyes. I wore them at the US Surf Open in Huntington Beach, California, and decided to check out the SkullCandy tent and while I queued up for a freebie, a guy walked out of it and started talking to me. It was Bret Barlow, the Marketing Director for SkullCandy US. He told me I was the first customer he had seen wearing the Aviator and talked about them with me. He end up letting me get all the freebies I wanted. Sweet! I'd say the combined prices between the freebies and the pair of Holua (see previous post), I got the Aviators for free! Very sweet!
Bonus! The Aviator has a built in handset feature which on an iPhone allows you to switch to phone calls at the touch of a button. You can also use it to change the volume on your iPhone or iPod touch, so you can leave them in you pocket while you listen to your music.
Due to the huge demand for them, it took five weeks to arrive. Everybody wanted a pair. On the first day I wore them in public, a girl jumped out of a limo, ran across the road and tried to get them off me by accusing me of stealing them! Now I always thought that someone would try to steal them off me, but on the first day? Wow now that is demand!
Now unfortunately they haven't been released in Europe yet as of the huge demand for them in America. The new release date is January 2011, but that will probably be put back as I suspect they will be sold out again due to being on US Christmas lists. They cost me $150. I'd say you will probably end up paying double once it hits this side of the pond.
Yeah I'm probably one of a few people who have them in Europe. Yay for exclusivity!
My only problem with them is that the mic/volume control is a huge weak point in the design. Inside of it you can see very thin wires that have nothing protecting them from twisting. After three weeks my pair lost sound in the left speaker, I inspected inside and found that one of the wires became so frayed it came apart, and another about to go. As I returned to Europe, Skullcandy US could not help me as I was no longer in their juristiction, but as they were the only branch of the company with Aviators, Europe couldn't help me either.
That's the price of exclusivity I guess.
After months of emails and phone calls, I have organised a solution with Skullcandy US and EU. I'll keep you updated with that. By the way, neither speakers work now. Sucks.
Do I recommend them? Yes I do actually. Just remember, they are delicate!
Should have updated this ages ago but Skullcandy has replaced my Aviator headphones and I have had no problems with them at all. I love them so much!
Oh, and I met a girl who had the brown pair and they look so good! Saw a white pair in a shop and they didn't do it for me. They don't appear to be see through either. My favourite is still the black pair, and I'm not being biased, it's all down to personal taste. But if your buying a pair, I recommend the black or brown pair.
Gadget: SkullCandy Holua
This summer I spent three months in California. While I was there I pre-ordered a pair of SkullCandy Aviators. There was such a huge demand for the headphones that there was a huge backlog. It took five weeks for my Aviators to arrive. To show their appreciation of their customers patience, SkullCandy sent out a pair of Holua ear buds to tie people over while they wait. I actually got these unexpectedly in the mail. On top of this they a worth $99. My Aviators cost me $150 and they gave me a pair of earbuds worth $99!!! This would never happen in Ireland! They are presented in a small wooden box with a clear lid. Wood? Why? Well thats because the Holua is made of wood. Wood? Why? Well this is because wood provides natural acoustics and the Holua is laser precision cut to increase the acoustics. Does it work? Fuck yes!!! They are the best in ear buds i have ever owned! The sound is so clear and I don't hear anything else! I went through my iPod (RIP) and played so many different types of songs and every one of them sounded great! I was never really bothered about high end head phones, but now I love them! Did I mention that they double up as an iPhone hands free set? No? Well they do! How good is that!Come back soon for the Aviator review. They are amazing!!!!
Gadget: Clocky
Ok now I know this has been around a while, but I recently bought one as I am so much a fan of the snooze button. I even turn off my alarm in my sleep! Well thanks to Clocky this is no longer a problem! For those of you who don't know what Clocky is, it's a really annoying alarm clock that jumps off your bed side desk and runs around your room, while sounding like RD-D2 having an epileptic fit! It is so annoying! But it works!!! I am now unable to sleep through the alarm because of the noise AND having to dive out of bed to catch the thing! By then I'm awake and alert enough to stay awake. So if you have trouble getting up in the morning, I totally recommend that you invest in one!

Facebook Cartoons
Ok so you may be wondering why so many people have cartoons for their Facebook profile. Well this is to raise awareness about child abuse. It has even pushed 80's, 90's and 00's cartoon characters into Googles top searches. The cool thing is people are putting up cartoons that you forgot about and it brings back a bit of nostalgia. I've seen Gargoyles, Thudercats, Doug, Chip n Dale and even Freakazoid. But the bad thing is that it's probably not raising as much money as awareness. Movember raised awareness of prostate cancer, but did you donate any money to cancer research because of it? I know I didn't.
To actually make a difference, why not actually donate some money to the ISPCC here http://christmas.ispcc.ie/
And if you see someone with Pedobear for their pic... don't bite, its a wind up, they know what they're doing. They be trolling.

The Simplicity of Innovation
Most people think that inventions are only for engineers or people who have been in their field of work a long time. Do you know that you could easily invent something by improving something already invented to make it more efficient, like the Dyson did with the vacuum cleaner, or make something small that gets rid of minor inconveniences. Now you might not make a lot of money off it, you might even lose money, but have a look at these videos to see how easy it is to be innovative.

Cash for your old phone! Is it really worth it?
So you saw the ad where the bald guy and blonde girl search around their flat for their old phones, find one and get €150 for it. All this done while smiling like eejits. Eejit being the keyword here. Have you seen the prices they offer for your phone? Its a rip off! Lets say you have an iPhone 3g S 8GB, its working perfectly and there isn't even a scratch on it. Envirofone.ie offers you €230.12 for it (ooh an extra 12c!), so you think "sweet that brings me so much closer to buying the iPhone 4!" (or whatever you want it for) and yes, it does, but not as much as you could get for it. On Vodafone.ie the same phone retails for €459 on pay as you go. That's basically 100% higher! And yes I know its more like 99.something, get a life. Some difference eh? Now your not going to get €459 for your iPhone, but put it on adverts.ie or in your local trader or buy and sell, and you should get somewhere between €50-€100 more than what Envirofone offers. If you get less then your probably not a good haggler.
So before you go sending your phone off to one of these rip off companies, try sell it yourself!
And those two eejits who are always smiling in the ad are definitely drug addicts! Who else would take €150 for a phone obviously worth more? Not to mention the constant smiling. Next it will be their gold jewelry, their car, then prostitution...
Moral of the story, don't do drugs (you can't handle) and don't sell your stuff for less than its worth.
P.S. My current phone is worth just €4.60... I paid €50 for it. No thanks Envirofone, I'll keep it as a spare when I upgrade.

Facehooked! Procrastination for the nation!
Facebook. All your friends are on it! There's games! Event invitations! Photo Tagging! Groups and Likes! IT'S GREAT... for procrastinating and doing very little amounts of things that are actually productive. Unless farming, organised crime, biting and building cities count's. Last year I freed myself from Farmville. This year I kicked my Mafia Wars habit. I was finally free! But it was summer and college was finished. I had no need to procrastinate. Was that why I could free myself from it's distracting addictive clutches? I ask this because now that I'm back in college and as the assignments and exams are flooding in, I have a new FB game to play. It's called City of Wonder and IT HAS TAKEN OVER MY LIFE!!! I constantly have to keep checking my city, collecting money, adding residents and eh... sweeping up... ahem. Got to keep the population happy! I have even started adding random CoW players to my once strict friends list so that i can increase my fledgling city's boundaries. Previously, to be in my friends list you had to be someone I know, are in college with, worked with or a girl I want to pull or currently pulling. It has now taken me three days to do a tiny bit of a PowerPoint presentation because of it. On top of this I have a mid term next week that I haven't started studying for. This is a habit I really need to kick as I need to start learning and getting good marks. Now I know that the first step in rehabilitation is admitting that you have a problem. And I know it's also down to will power. But is there a patch I can put on my arm? I need help!!!
I'm iRish Guy and I am a Facebookaholic!
And yes I am logged in on another window... I need my Facebookahol.
